Sara Tylosky, MBA, CEO at Farmacon Global, brings over 20 years of experience leading teams in both large and small pharmaceutical and biotech environments. She has led Farmacon Global, a strategic CRO of medical consultants, in accelerating clinical trials, increasing diversity, supporting enrollment, and paving the way to market access in emerging markets.

Known for her high cultural intelligence and problem-solving skills, Sara and her team specialize in Rare Diseases, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Cancer, and Vaccines. Fluent in Spanish and having lived on four continents, she has a special focus on Latin America while actively expanding into other key markets globally. Sara’s direction plays a pivotal role in steering Farmacon Global toward healthcare innovation and global market leadership.

Along with his work at Farmacon Global, Dr. Squiquera is a consultant for Secura Bio and the Center of Artificial Intelligence and Emergent Technologies at Universidad CAECE in Buenos Aires, Argentina, showcasing his commitment to cutting-edge medical advancements and global healthcare excellence.

Dr. Anita Campos, MD, Strategic Medical Lead at Farmacon Global, boasts a 25-year career blending pharmaceutical and biotechnology expertise with academia. She excels in clinical development, research, medical affairs, and marketing, specializing in areas like Oncology, Hematology, Cell and Gene Therapy, Infectious Diseases, Virology, Vaccines, and Immunology. Dr. Campos is a vital member of cross-functional teams, contributing globally and regionally, managing clinical research teams for early and late-phase studies in diverse settings, and securing approvals from regulatory agencies like the US-FDA and BR-ANVISA.

Known for strategic thinking and meticulous planning, Dr. Campos leads our medical consulting efforts. In this role, she forges trusted relationships with investigators, accelerating clinical research and market access projects. Her culturally nuanced approach addresses medical intelligence, market access, and resolves regulatory and logistical challenges for sites, investigators, and patients in clinical trials.

Dr. José Torres, MD, MBA, Strategic Medical Lead at Farmacon Global, boasts over fifteen years of prolific experience in clinical trials. With a background as a Principal Investigator and leadership roles at prominent companies like GSK in Central America, Boca Raton Clinical Research, and Executive Director at Global Peru (BRCR Global Peru), Dr. Torres has demonstrated expertise across respiratory, infections, vaccines, endocrinology, nephrology, pharmacovigilance, and rare diseases. His impactful tenure as the Respiratory Franchise Medical Manager at GSK and as the Head of the Pulmonology Service at Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital ESSALUD reflects his unwavering commitment to patient welfare and clinical excellence. As a resident tutor in Pulmonology, a medical affairs external expert for pharmaceutical companies in Latin America, and currently pursuing a PhD in business administration, Dr. José Torres is a distinguished leader enriching our strategic vision at Farmacon Global.

As a Project Manager and Strategic Lead, Jenny has successfully overseen complex trials, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory standards. Her expertise extends to managing multinational projects, with hands-on experience in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and beyond. With a commitment to excellence, Jenny has excelled in roles ranging from Senior Manager of Clinical Operations to Contractor Project Manager & GCP Auditor. Her leadership, coupled with her educational background in psychology and healthcare, makes her a valuable asset in the clinical research field.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Jenny is also an accomplished educator, serving as a Professor in the Clinical Research Program at UCSD Extension Program. Fluent in multiple languages, Jenny is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of global clinical trials and contribute to the advancement of medical science.

Camila Galvao Oliveira

Camila Oliveira, a Medical Associate at Farmacon Global, is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of extensive experience in clinical research across various therapeutic areas and roles. As a Project Manager and Strategic Lead, Camila has successfully overseen complex clinical trials, ensuring strict adherence to protocols, quality, and regulatory standards. Her expertise spans managing multinational projects with hands-on experience in the USA, EU countries, LATAM, and several countries in Central America, including Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica.
Camila’s commitment to excellence is evident in her successful track record in roles ranging from Senior Manager of Clinical Operations to Contractor Project Manager and GCP Auditor. As a Pharmacist with a Master’s in Project Management, her leadership skills, combined with her educational background in psychology and healthcare, make her a valuable asset in clinical research.

Silvia Copelli, PhD

Silvia Copelli, PhD, Medical Associate at Farmacon Global, holds a Biological Sciences Degree from CAECE University, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her academic journey continued with a PhD in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology at the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Buenos Aires University, where she earned the “Cum Laude” Extraordinary Award. Dr. Copelli is a Specialist in Human Genetics certified by the Argentine Society of Genetics. Her leadership roles include serving as the Dean of the Department of Biological Sciences and Headmaster of the Research Commission at CAECE University. She is a distinguished member of the CIATE Center for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies at CAECE University. Dr. Copelli also contributes to education as a Professor in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Department at the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, UBA. She extends her expertise as a Lecturer for the Master’s degree in Medical Molecular Biology at the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, UBA/FCEN, and the School of Medicine, UBA.

Nuria Zurro, PhD
Medical Associate

Nuria Zurro, PhD, Medical Associate at Farmacon Global, is a distinguished geneticist, holding a degree from UNaM (National University of Misiones), with further academic achievements including a master’s degree and a doctorate in Human Immunology from USP (University of São Paulo). During her doctoral studies, Nuria served on the committee of the Latin American Society of Immunodeficiencies (LASID) for four years, showcasing her dedication to advancing medical knowledge in the region.

Nuria’s professional journey includes roles as a scientific monitor for the Rare Genomes project at Albert Einstein Hospital, in collaboration with Proadi-SUS. Currently, she specializes in genetic diagnosis by NGS for patients with rare diseases in Brazil. With experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry, Nuria has amassed extensive expertise in rare disease diagnosis, molecular genetics, clinical research, and medical affairs across Brazil and Latin America.

John Schloss, PhD

John V. Schloss, PhD, BS, brings a wealth of experience to our Advisory Board as a Professor of Pharmaceutical Science and Associate Dean of Research at the American University of Health Sciences in Signal Hill, California. With over 35 years of dedication to research and education, Dr. Schloss has played a pivotal role in shaping pharmacy programs both in the United States and abroad. He is renowned for his significant contributions during a decade of service at DuPont’s Central Research Department, where he founded and led the Enzyme Mechanisms Group. His extensive academic journey includes positions at the University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy, as well as impactful roles in pharmacy-related biotech ventures. Dr. Schloss has been a key figure in building the basic science and research components of several pharmacy programs, emphasizing both research excellence and the education of graduate and undergraduate students. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Tennessee, earned for his work conducted at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and was an NIH-postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Dr. Keith Aqua

Dr. Keith Aqua comes to Farmacon Global with more than 25 years of industry experience as a certified clinical investigator. Dr. Aqua is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with a thriving private practice. He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.D. from The Ohio State University. After completing his residency at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, he co-founded the Institute for Women’s Health and Body, a large single specialty group located in Palm Beach County, Florida. In 2001, he founded Visions Clinical Research and in 2015 the Atlantic Clinical Research Collaborative. He has been a Principal Investigator on over 300 pharmaceutical industry sponsored clinical trials. He has received numerous teaching awards and has a number of publications and citations related to research in women’s health, dermatology, and family medicine. He is currently a consultant to several pharmaceutical companies and is an adjunct clinical professor at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Colin N. Scott, MD

Dr. Colin N. Scott, MD, an esteemed member of our Advisory Board, brings to the table a unique set of skills as a senior pharmaceutical industry executive. With a focus on international strategic pre-clinical, clinical, and regulatory development, he successfully secured and maintained registrations while optimizing commercialization through innovative medical affairs programs. Dr. Scott holds a specific interest in rare diseases and has been involved in Rx to OTC switch and generic defense. His impressive track record includes the submission of 17 NDAs/MAAs and 13 INDs/CTAs. Spanning all pre-clinical disciplines and clinical phases I-IV, his regulatory interactions have extended across the globe, encompassing regions like the US, Canada, Europe, Israel, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America, and The Republic of South Africa. Dr. Scott’s expertise extends to the development and management of pre-clinical, medical, and regulatory departments for small molecules, biologics, and devices, with a specialization in topical drug delivery. As a member of Executive Management teams, he has played a key role in optimizing collaborations with development partners and venture capitalists and has demonstrated a keen ability to determine and execute successful exit strategies.
